Holy Family Scoop May 20, 2020
WELCOME HOME! We are so happy to have our parishioners back in the pews! We are working hard to get as many parishioners back to church in a timely manner. If you haven't received your assigned Mass yet, we will be reaching out to you soon. Thank you for your continued patience.
As you sign-up for mass, we encourage you to check all options you are available for, including weekdays, - that way you are already on the list for the first available times. There are many chances for you to be assigned sooner during the weekday Masses because of fewer sign-ups. (i.e. you have not signed up yet or you are updating your previous sign up: check May16/17 for 5:30, 8:30 and 10:30... All the way to June 7th. for the masses that you are available for. That way if you are next in line to attend, we can schedule you at any one of those Masses. If you only check 10:30 and that waiting list is out 3 weeks, you will not attend for 3 weeks, even if there are openings at the 5:30 or 8:30. If ever your schedule changes and you cannot attend the mass you are assigned to please let us know immediately so that we can fill that spot.)
Things to keep in mind:
As a rule, priority will be given to those who have not attended Mass yet. For those who
have already attended, it will not be necessary to sign up again, because you
automatically are on the waitlist for the first available spot. If there is a spot left, you
will be able to avail that spot based on where you are on the waitlist and the Masses you
signed up for. Please be reminded that signing up doesn't automatically assign you a spot, you need to receive confirmation of your assigned spot on the particular mass you signed up for.
The cut off time for Mass assignments on the weekends will be Friday at 5 PM as we are
going to send the guest list and protocols after that time to our confirmed attendees. For
the weekday Masses, it will be at 5 PM the night before the scheduled Mass.
Because of fewer sign-ups on Weekday Masses, people can be able to attend additional
masses so long as they sign up for it and there are available spots. You can call Vicki
before 10 AM on that day to confirm a spot.
Please be guided accordingly. If you have questions, please contact Fr. Rodel or you can call or text Vicki at 503-789-5746. Thank you.

In accordance with Governor Brown’s executive orders, the number of people at a Mass cannot exceed 25. Consequently, in order to participate in these Masses, you need to sign up in advance. Since the number of people attending each Mass is 25 people maximum we may not be able to allow you to attend multiple Masses at this time. YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED A MASS BY PARISH STAFF. DO NOT SHOW UP TO A MASS YOU ARE NOT ASSIGNED.
Appropriate social distancing and adequate cleaning of the church after each use must be maintained. We encourage everyone over 2 years of age wear a mask to minimize the spread of germs.
Those who attend Mass do so at their own risk. Vulnerable, at-risk, and otherwise concerned persons should remain home. Anyone with the slightest symptoms or feelings of sickness must remain home.
For those who do not feel safe about coming to Mass during these times, we will continue to livestream the following Masses: Wednesday — Friday: 12:00 pm, and Saturday: 5:30 PM. You can watch those Masses both on our Facebook page and YouTube channel. The obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation will continue to be dispensed.
Must Sign up. Can’t Show up. You must sign up for Mass in order to attend. You are asked to sign up at only one parish. Anyone who attempts to attend a Mass they are not assigned will not be allowed to enter as mandated by the Archdiocese of Portland.
We ask for your prayers and continued patience and understanding as we take these gradual steps in
opening our Masses albeit in a limited manner. Please know that things could change as we
progress towards opening our church. Thank you.
